1. In short

The app has no accounts and never asks for your name, email address or phone number. It contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking code, and we do not sell or share data with anyone. The only things that leave your devices are the technical identifiers Apple issues for delivering notifications and live updates, together with your alert settings.

2. Information kept on your devices

Your filters, alert rules, language and mute setting are stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch. They sync between your own iPhone and Apple Watch through Apple’s WatchConnectivity, directly between the two devices.

3. Information sent to our server

To send you an alert when a release you follow is published, and to keep widgets and Live Activities up to date, the app sends our server:

• the push notification token Apple issues to the app on your device, the device type (iPhone or Apple Watch), the app version and the app language;
• your alert rules (currencies, impact levels and event types), so the server knows which releases to alert you about, and the time until which you have muted alerts;
• if you use widgets or Live Activities, their push tokens, and for a Live Activity the identifier of the economic event it follows.

These tokens are random values generated by Apple. They are not linked to your identity, your Apple Account or any other data, and they are not used for tracking or advertising.

Our web server also keeps standard access logs (IP address, time and requested address) for security and troubleshooting. They are deleted automatically after 14 days.

4. How long we keep it

A token is kept while it is valid. When Apple reports that it is no longer valid, for example after you delete the app or turn off notifications, it is disabled or deleted. You can also ask us to delete the data linked to your device by writing to the address above.

5. Service providers

Notifications and live updates are delivered by the Apple Push Notification service. Our server is hosted by DigitalOcean. The AI explanations shown in the app are generated on our server from public economic data; no information about you is used to produce them.

6. Your choices

• Turn off notifications in iOS Settings, or mute alerts in the app.
• Turn off automatic Live Activities in the app’s Settings → Live Activities.
• Delete the app to remove everything stored on your devices.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://fxnews.olxstr.cc/privacy.
